OpenAI integrates with iPhones in new industry-shaking Apple partnership
OpenAI is officially in bed with big tech. Apple announced a blockbuster partnership with OpenAI, putting ChatGPT across iPhones AND their entire suite of Apple apps.
Apple will integrate ChatGPT into its digital assistant Siri, allowing users to access ChatGPT's capabilities through voice commands on iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
ChatGPT will also be integrated into Apple's writing & image tools, enabling users to generate text & images in emails and messages.
Takeaway: Apple owns distribution (iPhones). OpenAI owns the tech (ChatGPT). Both gain major moats against competitors, which is why they’re raising flags for anti-trust regulators.
Google Chrome used a similar strategy when it partnered with every Android device make to have Chrome installed by default - which is why Chrome dominates with a 65% market share. OpenAI is on a similar path, making ChatGPT the default on Apple devices, and doing so in under 2 years.
It’s even causing Elon to ban Apple Devices from his companies. But maybe it’s because he’s still bitter about Sam…

Demo videos from Kling AI
OVERHYPED OR REAL?
China is finally competing with OpenAI; releases new video AI, and it’s amazing & terrifying
Kling AI is a new video generation AI released by Kuaishou, a chinese-based TikTok competitor - and the video demo is amazing (see it yourself here) but…
It ain’t real if it’s a demo: The general consensus in the AI industry is that demos are usually edited or cherrypicked. Without a public release, it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Public waitlist: Unlike Sora, Kling AI has intentions to release the video AI to the public. Which is terrifying because my parents are already fooled by fake AI images on Facebook.
“We are in a post-truth era”: By the end of the year, we’ll need to question everything we see online. And with elections in November, it’ll be chaotic.
Takeaway: AI-generated videos will flood our lives soon - whether we like it or not. If we stop trusting social media, will we stop using them? Or will social media companies invent a “spam feed” like our “spam mails”?
